We at FastpitchCoaching LLC will contribute 25% of your generous gift to Your Store of the Queen City, a 501c3 nonprofit organization partnering with community leaders to design, launch, and sustain social enterprises for the long-term wellbeing of neighbors. Their first initiative, called Meiser's Fresh Grocery & Deli, will be a 1,700 square foot fresh grocery and deli at the intersection of State Avenue and Hatmaker, just blocks from Oyler School in the business district of Lower Price Hill (LPH).
Through leadership and advocacy by neighbors, resident board members, the LPH Neighborhood Action Team, and local collaborators, Lower Price Hill is bringing fresh food access back into our community. We're promoting well-being through a celebration of recipes and local traditions. We're creating hyper-local career paths. We're incubating and supporting adult and youth food entrepreneurs. We're building a caring space to connect with each other.
And as a non-profit, the community is 100% in control of our vital neighborhood food enterprise and how it impacts the neighborhood's wellbeing, not a private investor or a co-operative. We believe everyone deserves access to affordable nutritious foods and the power to control how that happens. We hope that the success of our community's work can be a model to share with other food insecure neighborhoods in Cincinnati, and nationwide.
